Wild Lodges has selected off the beaten track locations for it’s lodges. Lodges where you can get out of the car and experience nature close up. Each camp has unique activities, hard to find elsewhere in Tanzania. Wild Lodges provides much needed change from the endless driving of a safari. Chances to see animals and plants standard safaris miss, and to experience activities no-one else does.
Hondo Hondo
Udzungwa Forest Camp – Eco camp situated on the border of the Udzungwa Mountains National Park, is the only high-quality tourist orientated accommodation in the region. The restaurant/bar overlooks the forest canopy, usually with monkeys present.
Emau Hill
Amani Nature Reserve, high in the East Usambara mountains just inland from Tanga, is known for its exotic birding, chameleons, pristine rainforests and African Violets. Amani Forest Camp is perfect for hiking, cycling, birding or nocturnal chameleon hunting.
